Agenda is posted for Jan 28th, 2026 Special Meeting

In accordance with RCW 42.30.080, notice is hereby given that King County Public Hospital District #5, dba Vashon Health Care District, will hold a Special Meeting on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at 3:30 PM at the Vashon Fire and Rescue Penny Farcy Memorial Training Center, 10015 SW Bank Rd Vashon, WA 98070.

The Agenda of the Special Meeting is as follows:
1. Call to Order
2. Swearing in of Commissioners Chavez, Cugudda, and Langland by Councilmember
Mosqueda
3. Adjourn

The purpose of this meeting is to allow a quorum of VHCD Commissioners to attend the swearing-in ceremony. No Board action will be taken at this meeting.

My rather eclectic work history includes law enforcement and security, food manufacturing, distribution,  sales, brand development, project management, political campaign strategy and messaging, nonprofit leadership, retail operations, and local governance. Having worked on one health-related project or another on Vashon for close to fifteen years, returning to serve a District I helped create is the honor and challenge of a lifetime.

I thrive on connecting with people, ideas, opportunities, and solutions, and welcome your suggestions, questions, concerns, or critiques. Outside of public life, I enjoy golfing, playing drums (badly), cooking (surprisingly not badly), devouring a good novel, pampering pets, and exploring new and familiar urban and natural haunts.
