Notice of April 4th, 2025 Special Meeting

In accordance with RCW 42.30.080, notice is hereby given that King County Public Hospital District #5, dba Vashon Health Care District, will hold a hybrid Special Meeting on Friday, April 4, 2025 at 10 AM at the Vashon Presbyterian Church at 17708 Vashon Hwy SW (in the church library) and via Zoom.  Zoom Link: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/82699377083

The Agenda of the Special Meeting is as follows:

  1. Call to Order
  2. Board and Superintendent Executive Session to discuss the qualifications of candidates for commissioner appointment (No action can or will be taken during this Executive Session)
  3. Board Discussion of Commissioner Vacancy and Appointment (Action may be taken)
  4. Adjourn.

The public will be asked to leave the meeting during the Executive Session, but may be present for all other agenda items. Public input will be at the consent of the Board if and as indicated by the Chair.

My rather eclectic work history includes law enforcement and security, food manufacturing, distribution,  sales, brand development, project management, political campaign strategy and messaging, nonprofit leadership, retail operations, and local governance. Having worked on one health-related project or another on Vashon for close to fifteen years, returning to serve a District I helped create is the honor and challenge of a lifetime.

I thrive on connecting with people, ideas, opportunities, and solutions, and welcome your suggestions, questions, concerns, or critiques. Outside of public life, I enjoy golfing, playing drums (badly), cooking (surprisingly not badly), devouring a good novel, pampering pets, and exploring new and familiar urban and natural haunts.
