News & Notices – Vashon Health Care District

Clinic News

New ARNP Bridgett Chandler, DNP FNP-BC, is seeing patients in both the Vashon and White  Center Sea Mar Clinics. She is accepting new patients as well as providing same day care for all  ages and health concerns. She has participated in research in palliative care and pain  management, and also has an interest in working with patients who have end stage kidney  disease.

The Clinic has a new ultrasound machine. It was obtained through a grant request to Granny’s  Attic. An ultrasound is a type of scanning that provides images of internal organs such as  bladder, kidneys, spleen, gall bladder and thyroid. The images are created through the use of  sound waves, and it does not use any radiation, unlike x-rays. Thus it is safe for children and for  fetal monitoring.

Tim Johnson

My rather eclectic work history includes law enforcement and security, food manufacturing, distribution,  sales, brand development, project management, political campaign strategy and messaging, nonprofit leadership, retail operations, and local governance. Having worked on one health-related project or another on Vashon for close to fifteen years, returning to serve a District I helped create is the honor and challenge of a lifetime.

I thrive on connecting with people, ideas, opportunities, and solutions, and welcome your suggestions, questions, concerns, or critiques. Outside of public life, I enjoy golfing, playing drums (badly), cooking (surprisingly not badly), devouring a good novel, pampering pets, and exploring new and familiar urban and natural haunts.
