Notice of Nov 6th, 2025 Public Budget & Levy Hearing

Notice is hereby given that the King County Public Hospital District No. 5 DBA Vashon Health Care District will hold a Special Meeting on Thursday, November 6th, 2025, at 6:00 PM at the  Vashon Presbyterian Church 17708 Vashon Hwy, SW, and via Zoom. Zoom Link:

The purpose of the Special Meeting will be to conduct a hearing on the proposed 2026 Budget pursuant to RCW 70.44.060, and a hearing on its proposed regular tax levy for 2026. No final action will be taken.

My rather eclectic work history includes law enforcement and security, food manufacturing, distribution,  sales, brand development, project management, political campaign strategy and messaging, nonprofit leadership, retail operations, and local governance. Having worked on one health-related project or another on Vashon for close to fifteen years, returning to serve a District I helped create is the honor and challenge of a lifetime.

I thrive on connecting with people, ideas, opportunities, and solutions, and welcome your suggestions, questions, concerns, or critiques. Outside of public life, I enjoy golfing, playing drums (badly), cooking (surprisingly not badly), devouring a good novel, pampering pets, and exploring new and familiar urban and natural haunts.
